Who can create, view and edit

Control who can create follow-ups, and who can see and change each one.

Who can create follow-ups

By default, anyone in the workspace can create a follow-up.

Workspace admins can restrict this. In the dashboard's admin settings, turn on Access control. After that, only admins with Create follow-ups ticked can create follow-ups.

Anyone else who selects Create follow-up sees a Permission needed dialog with a Request admin access button. The same dialog appears if they try to duplicate or delete a follow-up.

Who can view and edit a follow-up

Each follow-up has its own Who can view? and Who can edit? settings, under Advanced settings on the Channels & members step.

Who can edit? can't be more open than Who can view?:

  • If view is Everyone, edit can be any option.
  • If view is Follow-up members, edit can be Follow-up members, Managers or Workspace admins.
  • If view is Managers or Workspace admins, edit must be the same.

When you pick Managers for either setting, Select managers appears. Pick at least one manager.

The Follow-ups list only shows people the follow-ups they can view. Editing, pausing, deleting and sending reminders need edit access.

On a trial, these settings reset to Everyone when the trial ends.
